Visitor

I feel I am a stranger in the only land

I have ever known since I was born.

I walk around this lonely town

day in, day out.

I am a stranger here, even most near,

in my own skin. Where do I fit in?

No one seems to know me, or could it be

that I know no one, not even the One

who made me, not even me?

I am searching, even yearning,

to find anything I can,

to show me who I am,

or maybe,

who I should be.

Perhaps I shall find this lonely girl

was never meant to fit in this crazy world,

that instead she was only meant to be a visitor.

I am just a visitor,

even in my own skin.
